ค่ายแคมป์จอย - - Camp Joy

In 1985 there was a camping activity organized for the first time for the children in New Hope Childcare Center.

Because of the positive results camping was decided to be included as a regular annual activity for AMG children. The following year, another camping activity was conducted and the name Camp Joy was first introduced. For the next 8 years, this activity was conducted in different locations both in government and private facilities, twice a year, during summer and semester breaks.

In 1993, God provided a suitable campsite for Camp Joy, only 12 kilometers away from the city of Nan in Nan province north of Thailand and bordering with Laos, with dormitories, meeting hall, kitchen/dining hall, playground, etc.  This time, it was decided that Camp Joy would be developed as another arm of AMG Thailand in its endeavor to advance the ministries of the gospel, giving emphasis on evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training. On January of 1994, the first camping activity was held in the new campsite.

The primary target group is the youth from Grade 3 and up, however, it has expanded to reach out to the parents of the children, churches and Christian organizations.  The main goal is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by preaching the gospel to bring people to him for salvation, and to teach the whole counsel of God to bring Christians to the lordship of the Jesus Christ. “…there is rejoicing in heaven among the angels for one soul that repents” Luke 15: 7-10
